It all started in 1995 when Quiksilver, a brand of surf, snow & skate, decided to launch a project which would later be considered as a real institution.
Boardrider offers a sales area of almost 600 m2 just on the ground floor. The gathering of brands such as Quiksilver, DC, Roxy, Libtech, Gnu and Freedom Dolly offers one of the widest choice of products, adapted to all levels, all desires and all tastes. Make your choice !
Outside the stores, the surfshop would offer:
– A lounge bar with sofas available for coffee, a drink with friends or a snack after the session by meeting riders and other celebrities present;
– A master barber like in the good old days for lovers of old school techniques;
– A multitude of boards available (around 500);
– And accessible computers with wi-fi connection and phone chargers.
The Boardrider has become, over the years, a real institution in the surfing world, to the point where professional surfers come to train in the training room sponsored by Moskova, in the lower part of the building, assisted by Yannick Beven (Ju-Jitsu) for physical / mental preparation and Christian Auckagne, responsible for following the athletes throughout the competition in the event of injury.
The real plus of this Concept Store is its stage, a true reproduction of a piece from the port of Capbreton (Estacade) where concerts, exhibitions and other events take place. Surfshop by day, bar by night, a place where locals and tourists meet for fun. A very friendly atmosphere where good humor and multicultural music rhyme.
